We’re an inclusive new and used bookstore coming soon to Melbourne, Florida!
The dream
Moonstruck Market began as a daydream, like so many things do.
In February of 2023, Connor dreamed up a bookstore where all would feel welcome, where the shelves would be as full of diversity as our beautiful world, where the community could gather safely and soberly for events, book clubs, or even just to browse the stacks.
Now, after two years, that dream is coming to fruition in the form of a new and used bookstore in Melbourne, FL.
The work
Nothing worth having comes easy.
Early 2023: We ran an Indiegogo, attended entrepreneur meetings, and even hosted an incredible fundraiser at Rockledge Gardens where we met so many kind supporters and raised over $1k toward our goal. We got incredibly close to signing on a space near the Eau Gallie Arts District, but it fell through—it wasn’t meant to be.
August, 2023: we went into hiatus due to personal circumstances and the feeling that everything in real estate was stacked against us.
October, 2024: We held Peacefest, a one-day vendor event and fundraiser for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. This helped us work toward fulfilling our mission of bringing the community together and promoting social good, and it refilled our cups with your support and kindness.
January, 2025: We knew our community needs this space now more than ever. We assembled our team and the project took off.
April, 2025: Now, we have secured funding for the store and are pursuing a space in Melbourne Midtown.
Future: Our doors will open soon! We are so excited to have you!

Connor
Founder
SHE/THEY
Connor is an avid reader of fantasy and monster romance. An author herself, she loves the written word almost as much as she loves her wife, August. She graduated with a BA in English from the University of Central Florida. Her greatest passions are self-expression and small business, and a lifelong goal has been to open a bookstore. When she’s not working on Moonstruck, she’s writing, reading, or getting scratched by her cat.

SHE/THEY
As a local to this area and a lifelong book lover, August has had the dream to find a welcoming space for everyone, somewhere she could connect with others who share her love of reading romantasy and queer stories. Little did she know that someday, she would be lucky enough to find someone who has that same vision of creating that place for their community. August is a hairstylist in the Eau Gallie Arts District, and finds the most joy in connecting with others.
