Upcoming Events
Story Time
Bring your little ones to the shop on 9/20, 10/18, and 11/1 for story time! This is great for ages ~2-8. Afterwards, enjoy family shopping hour where kiddos are free to get their sillies out while you shop without any worry of disturbing other shoppers.
Powerpoint Party
Join us for an evening of presentations! Each presenter will get 10 minutes to tell us about anything they would like. Come ramble about your hyperfixation, tell us about the difference between dragons and wyvern, introduce your OCs, discuss your favorite Pokemon, talk about which characters would win in a fight, teach us the lore behind your favorite fandom. Is it relatively family friendly? Can it fit into a 10-minute time slot? Come share it with us!
Each presentation must be:
10 minutes or under, FIRM cut-off to allow for everyone to present
Relatively family-friendly (nothing overly sexual or violent)
Emailed to moonstruckmarketfl@gmail.com by 10/28 for screening. If it isn’t screened, it won’t be shown
Don’t want to present? No problem! Come be part of our audience and enjoy the presentations! RSVPs are required for presenters and audience members. Click the button below!
Writing Club
Join us every Wednesday at 5pm to write and discuss all things writing! Any skill level, amount of experience, and genre/type of writing are welcome. You don’t have to share your work if you aren’t comfortable, but you’re welcome to!
Every Wednesday, come make yourself at home on our couches, grab your laptop or notebook, and delve into the art of writing with likeminded friends.
Queer Joy Social Club
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday, join us in the shop for a queer and trans social group! If you’re 18 to around 35 years old (or older—we don’t have a cutoff!) come hang out with us in the bookstore! Chat, make friends, and wind down after work among likeminded individuals.
Pop-Up Queer Weddings
We’re hosting queer pop-up weddings on Saturday 11/8!
In order to fight back against the potential overturning of Obergfell v. Hodges which granted marriage equality to all couples in the U.S., we’re hosting 100% free weddings for queer couples. To get involved by donating or volunteering, visit moonstruckmarket.com/chapel.
We will be CLOSED 11/7 and 11/8, and we’ll reopen on Sunday 11/9 at 4 pm.
