Host Your Event at Moonstruck Market
We host events at 329 N Babcock St, Melbourne, FL 32935.
We love author signings, book clubs, small business pop-ups, hobby meet-ups, and more!
As a brand-new inclusive bookshop in a culturally tumultuous area, we need all the financial stability we can get. Events can disrupt usual shopping or store-sponsored event programming. Therefore, there are costs associated with hosting events at Moonstruck Market, as follows.
Events by Type

Author readings take place in our book club room. They can be ticketed or public.
Ticketed: We set up and handle ticket sales, which are equal to the cost of your book and include a copy.
Public: There is no ticket necessary to attend, and copies will be for sale at the event.
If you bring your own books to be sold, we split sales and you take home 60%. If we are responsible for supplying books, you are paid royalties for the sale through your publisher.
For author pop-ups, you can set up a 5' table in the main area of the shop, plus a reasonably sized pop-up banner if you would like. If you bring your own books and handle your own sales, we just charge a $35 table fee for up to four hours. If we order books for you and handle sales through our system, you are paid royalties for each sale through your publisher, and there is no table fee. (We recommend you bring your own books and handle your own sales for simplicity and cost-effectiveness!)

Host a workshop or class in our book club room!
Pricing is as follows:
1hr: $30 + 15% of ticket sales
1.5 hr: $45 + 15% of ticket sales
2 hr: $60 + 15% of ticket sales
If you're an artist who currently rents a shelf from us, your pricing is as follows:
1hr: $20 + 10% of ticket sales
1.5 hr: $30 + 10% of ticket sales
2 hr: $40 + 10% of ticket sales

Hold your book club in our cozy book club room!
Book clubs can meet for any amount of time, but we close every day at 8 so please book accordingly.
Donations are encouraged in return for use of the space but not required. Suggested donation amount: $15-25/hour.

We charge a $35 table fee for a pop-up of up to four hours. A 5’ table is permitted, and will be set up in the main area of the shop.

Private events have differing fees associated with days of the week and requirements of the event.
Monday-Thursday 2-8 pm
Use the book club room: $25/hour
Use the main area of the shop, blocking books or moving displays: $100/hour
Use of the entire shop and closing the shop for your event: $300/hour
Friday-Sunday 12-8 pm
Use the book club room: $50/hour
Use the main area of the shop, blocking books or displays: $200/hour
Use of the entire shop and closing the shop for your event: Reach out to us for pricing
After hours use of the store: $250/hour
If these fees are prohibitive to you, we are always open to creative solutions, like splitting profits or adapting event footprints or concepts, so please reach out! For free and discounted events, we will always prioritize Black, brown, queer, and trans organizers, activists, and community groups.
